Race Week Information
From the Guides
The Race Week Checklist is your guide to suggestions for first time (as well as returning) Champions to assist with preparation and activities during Race Week. The Race Week Handbook offers event schedules, guides and tips for your time in Akron. Find these and other important Race Week resources below.
Box Seats are located on the East and West sides of the track in front of the Grandstands. Ten chairs are provided per box seat. Box Seats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Box Seat orders can be picked up at the office tent located behind the blue Hall of Fame and Museum building at Topside or at the ticket gate on race day.
Program Good Luck Messages
Purchase your champ a Program Message of encouragement for the race week program! The last day to place your Good Luck message is TBD. Messages received after TBD will not make the deadline for the program. Messages are limited to 185 characters including spaces and punctuation.
The Champs have the opportunity to attend a “Badge Trading” session at Rock the Rec, where they exchange badges and trinkets from their hometowns. We suggest bringing approximately 300- 600 badges for trading. Families and volunteers will ask the Champs for their badges all week long. We want to make sure that you are aware of this tradition so that your Champs can take part.
CHAMP CAR MESSAGE
Want to write and give a message to a Champ wishing them “good luck” in Saturday’s race? You can now submit messages virtually! These messages will be placed in the Champs’ cars for them to read on Saturday morning before the race. All messages are due by TBD. *These messages are free and go into the Champs car only, they will not be in the program.
